Zebra reflection analysis showing surface curvature and highlight flow on a product surface

Surface Quality

Why curvature decides product quality before tooling begins.

Curvature is often treated as a styling choice. In product development, it is also a technical decision that affects reflection quality, perceived refinement, wall logic and tooling risk.

Where it becomes technicalA product surface can look simple in a render and still be difficult to manufacture, polish, tool or visually control. The difference is usually hidden in curvature.
Reflection flowZebra stripes reveal what regular renders hide: nervous transitions, unresolved shoulder lines and discontinuities that production will not magically fix.
ManufacturabilityIn plastic and consumer product work, curvature connects to wall thickness, split lines, draft, rib placement, assembly and edge behavior.
Better questionsDoes the highlight flow support the product identity? Are curvature changes intentional? Will this geometry still feel calm after material, finish and tolerance enter the picture?
